  • Feedforward × Feedback:

  • Computational × Inferential:

Harnessability

Agent = Model + Harness#

LangChain 在 The Anatomy of an Agent Harness Agent = Model + Harness[LangChain, 2026]

Feedforward × Feedback#

Computational × Inferential#

  • 快、便宜、确定的检查,尽量前置到 本地、pre-commit、agent 工作循环 里;

  • 慢、贵、需要语义判断的检查,放到更合适的位置 —— MR review、nightly job 或关键变更前;

Computational(机器算)

Inferential(模型判)

Feedforward(事前)

schema、JSON schema、OpenAPI、AGENTS.md lint、prompt schema 校验

Feedback(事后)

测试、lint、type check、ArchUnit、SAST、secret scan、mutation testing

AI code review、PR

Harnessability

  • 强类型语言天然有 type checker;

  • 清晰模块边界更容易写架构测试;

my-order-service/
├── AGENTS.md
├── docs/ai/index.md
├── docs/ai/architecture.md
├── docs/ai/api-contracts.md
├── scripts/agent-check.sh
├── src/main/java/com/example/order/
│   ├── controller/
│   ├── service/
│   └── mapper/
├── src/test/java/com/example/order/architecture/LayeringTest.java
└── src/test/resources/fixtures/order-create-success.json

  • AGENTS.md —— Inferential × Feedforward(自然语言规约 + 安全开发要求)。

  • scripts/agent-check.sh —— Computational × Feedback(让 agent 每次改完都有一条确定可执行的验证路径)。

  • LayeringTest.java(ArchUnit)—— Computational × Feedback,

  • order-create-success.json(approved fixture)—— Inferential × Feedforward(人类确认过的验收样例)+ Computational × Feedback(自动化测试运行它)。

scripts/agent-check.sh 把"agent 改完后该跑什么"写成一条命令。

  • fixture 是人类确认过的验收样例,agent 不得为了让测试通过而修改它;

  • 新增行为可以新增 fixture,但要说明业务含义;

PR/MR 前的 Harness Gate#

Gate

mvn test

checkstyle / spotbugs

dependency / secret scan

AI Review

Review

  5. AGENTS.md 写成公司制度汇编。

  6. scripts/agent-check.sh 不存在或时灵时不灵。

MR review

  5. 这条约束的 Inferential Feedback(AI review、人工 review)是否触发?

  7. 是否需要把这条约束从 Inferential 升格为 Computational(写成 schema、lint、测试)?

Harness engineering for coding agent users

Anatomy of an Agent Harness

  • Architectural Fitness Function。

  • Continuous Delivery 与 shift left。

  • AGENTS.md.template —— Inferential × Feedforward

  • order-create-success.json —— Inferential × Feedforward + Computational × Feedback 的 approved fixture 样例。

## 5. Architecture (Feedforward, Inferential)

- Follow Controller -> Service -> Mapper. Controller must not call Mapper directly.
- Keep transaction boundaries in Service methods.
- DTOs are API contracts. Do not expose database entities from Controller.
- SQL lives in MyBatis XML mappers. Use `#{}` binding, never `${}` for user input.
- {{EXTRA_ARCHITECTURE_RULE}}

## 6. Security (Feedforward, Inferential)

- Validate all request body, path, and query parameters.
- Keep authorization checks on service APIs or controller endpoints.
- Do not log secrets, tokens, full request bodies, phone numbers, emails,
  or payment data. Production logs are long-lived and searchable.
- User-facing errors should be generic; detailed errors go to safe
  structured logs.

## 7. Change Workflow

{{CHANGE_WORKFLOW_SHORT}}

For design-heavy changes, create `docs/changes/{{CHANGE_ID}}/` with:

- `proposal.md`
- `design.md`
- `tasks.md`

Update docs when architecture, API, dependencies, workflow, or conventions
change.

## 8. AI Working Protocol

Hard rules:

- No "done" without evidence.
- Ask when scope or compatibility is unclear.
- Keep the diff small.
- Do not touch danger zones without a design note.
- Never add logs that expose secrets, tokens, request bodies, or PII.
- Never modify an approved fixture under
  `src/test/resources/fixtures/` without explicitly explaining why in the PR.

## 9. Before Finishing (Feedback gate)

Run:

```bash
If any check fails, fix the issue before asking for human review.
"Suggested to run tests" is not acceptable; run them.
# Purpose
# -------
# Turn "please verify your changes" into one deterministic command path that
# Conventions
# - `set -euo pipefail` so the first failing check stops the script.
# - Every check prints a short banner so logs are scannable.
// here: an automated, deterministic check that catches layering drift the
// This is intentionally minimal. A real project should add rules for:
//   - controllers MUST live under ..controller..
//   - services MUST be transactional at the service-method boundary
//   - DTOs MAY NOT depend on JPA entities
//   - mappers MAY NOT depend on services
//
// Add them one by one; do not try to encode the entire architecture in a
// single mega-test. Each rule should be small, named, and easy to delete
// when the architecture genuinely changes.
